Tom Collins

Preparation

Fill a shaker with ice. Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Shake for 20 to 30 seconds. Fill a tall glass with crushed ice. Strain the contents of the shaker into the glass. Fill the rest of the glass with soda and stir gently with a spoon. Garnish with a slice of lemon or a cinnamon stick, or, classically, with a slice of lemon and a maraschino cherry.

1.5 cl sugar syrup
Crushed ice
Soda
